Does anyone know what's happened to BGAFD?

It's over a fortnight now since the site went missing, so I'm guessing it's not a tech problem that forced it offline, otherwise the issue would surely have been fixed by now. It looks like the site's struggling to be financially viable and that's the reason for its disappearance.

It's being rumoured on twitter that BGAFD disappeared because of a major server problem which wiped out all the data. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have had a backup, but the data can apparently be recovered anyway meaning that the site should eventually be back.

It's over 6 weeks now since the site vanished, so I wouldn't be expecting BGAFD back anytime soon. Besides what is there to discuss now anyway? The forum there was getting very few posts because there isn't much British hardcore porn going on these days. The industry's been in decline for some years now and ATVOD has been busy hammering some nails into the coffin to make things even worse for British porn producers.

Yes the forum sections there got very few posts these days, only about 20-25 a day between them, but it was the database that mattered. I mean the database of models and the list of films they had starred in was a tremendous resource and a big loss if it's gone forever.

Had problems accessing EGAFD too lately

Yes BGAFD and EGAFD went offline at the same time, for whatever reason, as they were on the same server.

For a long time they've been run as separate entities, but you're right the 2 sites were both hosted at the same location, so logically a server problem which forced one offline would mean the same fate for the other.

Thanks munch for reminding me about that facility, although it seems now that BGAFD is on the way back. They seem to have started a reinstall.
