OnlyFans

I see that OnlyFans introduced DRM about a month ago. It won't affect older videos, but anything uploaded after the creator activates the option will be DRM protected.

^ DRM.. Demi Rose Mawby has been on there for a couple years....

Fansly the same. I'd be interested to know which of them did it first, or perhaps it's just a coincidence that they both did this around the same time.

I'm not sure that this move will make much difference. Because it causes problems with playing the videos for some people, many of the creators who have tried the DRM option have turned it off already.

Notwithstanding my joshing response in post 441, I would have thought DRM would have become standard there, from long ago, when either people had become 'famous' via the site, or famous people had joined the site.

I'm assume it's due to DRM, somehow, that I stopped being able to tweet some Instagram clips, from accounts that I had previously.
For one, this goes back over a year and a half, related to Iryna Ivanova, who isn't (yet?) on OnlyFans, but is on another similar site, and I posted about my bad experience of following her on there, which is a bit of a saga, in the 'Fan Platforms' thread.

And in true OnlyFans style there isn't any way to know in advance if a creator has DRM enabled.

OnlyFans had DRM before Fansly, although Fansly said almost 2 years ago that it was "investigating DRM".
