Never played a Far Cry game so I'm giving this one a go

I quite fancy giving Far Cry 5 a go.
Especially as Jane & Ellen from Outside Xbox had such a fun playthrough, recently.

Does anybody have the game, keen on getting it would like to know what they think

I've had it for a couple of weeks now. Not too far in to it as revisiting The Division and Ghost Recon Wildlands at the same time but I'm enjoying what I've played so far. The premise, looks and sound are all big pluses for me so far

As someone who is interested in politics, society and culture the far right cult ala Waco premise definitely intrigues me

I've played about 2 hours of the game so far & as 1st person shooters go it is very good with great looking graphics.If your familiar with the previous Far Cry games the concept is the same where there is a bonkers storyline to follow but the real fun comes from exploring miles of land crafting weapons with various components & animal skins & completing side-missions along the way.

The game is set in Hope County,Montana where you be-friend several of the locals who band together form a resistance who's aim is to dispose of a Doomsday Cult known as 'The Project at Eden's Gate' lead by the smooth-talking Prophet Joseph Seed & his siblings The Herald's.At the heart of the nutty story-line is Game Developers are poking fun at Donald Trump & the kind of people who would likely vote for him basically (in subtle ways).

I've completed Far Cry 5 and really enjoyed it.
Each of the boss battles were excellent, too.

It was my first Far Cry experience and I liked it so much that I am now 2/3 of the through Far Cry 4 (PS4) that I picked up for a bargain £12 from CEX and will be exploring more of that world immersive game world, today.
