Fifa 19

I'm enjoying playing Fifa 19 at the moment, most of the improvements over Fifa 18 are pretty subtle but you notice them the more you play. The graphics are gorgeous, especially when viewed in HDR 4K and this year's big bonus is the champions league which EA sport finally have the full licence for, so no need to buy pes this year.

Hello Tractor Boy,I played about 20 matches or so on the Fifa 19 demo both on single player & multi-player & I found the drop in pace of the game (compared to Fifa 18) quite infuriating.I read that the game devs wanted to slow the pace of the game so the so-called faster players like Leroy Sane,Neymar,Sterling etc no longer have that advantage in the game (where in Fifa 18 UT pacey players were key to success). Other worrying aspects I found that defending was bloody awful & goalkeepers completely unreliable (I heard someone on YouTube describe them as being as useful as a bin-bag hanging from a crossbar).In your opinion have these improved in the full game?.

I'm old & wise enough to know the old chestnut about not judging a game purely on a demo (which isn't the finished article) but I tend to value customer reviews (the impartial ones) more so than certain websites (that get bribed by the game makers)
& a fair few (quite a lot) customers reviews on Amazon have slated the game (I take a few with a large cup of salt as they probably are PES fanboys).There are a few You Tubers that I've followed in the past give it a bit of a pasting as well so I'm still very undecided on the game (in such a busy gaming schedule up till Xmas).I did pick up PES 2019 very cheap a few weeks ago & whilst the gameplay is pretty good (with a few annoyances) the lack of modes (no CL or Europa League) makes the boredom level set in pretty quick.

^ I agree this year's Fifa seems to play a little slower than last year's, but I always use the manual sliders in the settings menu anyway. I also agree with your comments about the keepers, I find I am scoring a lot more goals from long range than I used to ( and also conceding more) but I feel the overall package is better than last years.
