Drones at Gatwick

Are drones a new threat to "Peace in our times"? Maybe the drone fliers are just "Earthy types" concerned about the ecosystem. But surely the drones flying around Gatwick airport are costing people a fortune in extra hotels, food etc. The stress at airports is bad enough. The added strain of this sinister act is cruel. Can drone hand sets not be fitted with trackers?...Poor passangers at the airport are probably just trying the skip Christmas....Not a bad idea!....And here's another thought - Skipping Christmas by John Grisham is not a bad book

The little fuckers responsible need to be given whatever the max sentence is, bad enough at another time of year, but Christmas, cunts.

When they catch him/her, they should be tied to a post outside the main terminal at Gatwick next to buckets of manure and rotten tomatoes.

Utter Twattery. You can bet it's an Eco Loon or a recent arrival to the area with a bee in his / her bonnet because of noise.


Find them, tie them to a post in the Terminal and let the passengers deal with it.

Watch those who fly drones for genuine reasons now have to contend with ridiculous new laws in the new year; thanks to some thick sickos who want to deny mr & mrs smith their winter staycation in the bahamas.... You'd think the armed police at Gatwick would be able to target the thing & blow it out the sky ffs??

With all the electronic gadgetry that’s available to our security services, you’d think this could have been sorted a damn sight more quickly. Unbelievable.

Firing rounds into the air isn't a wise idea. They stop going up at some point and come back down again.

Apparently you cannot shoot one down as it is classed as an aircraft regardless if it carries passengers or a payload or a camera below. This is being spoken of as commercial sabotage and it is disrupting many people. My sister and brother -in-law are due to fly Monday to spend Christmas/New Year in Las Vegas from Gatwick. I would hope it has been sorted by then.

Surely it's classed as an 'enemy' aircraft.... Just right for the Royals to come out with their 12 bores, and spray the sky with the remnants of these drone/s...?

The Sun are offering a £10,000 reward for identifying the culprit.
