RE: Ancelotti leaves Milan
I dont think he will bring the average age of the Chelsea squad down. Not sure if they were his recommended buys but he does get in many ageing big name players. Just look at the Milan squad, an ageing team more so then Chelsea. He will get results, might even win a few trophies but he wont come in with a long term plan like a Wenger would. Anyone can win things with players like Kaka in the side. So dont expect any young players coming through or a good style of football. He is just about results. Prepare for an influx of past it Milan rejects. Apart from Kaka of course.

RE: Ancelotti leaves Milan
When i heard the news this morning i was gutted that he was officialy our manager
However, for some reason over the last few hours i actually dont mind anymore
I heard him speak fairly good English in an interview this morning which is definitely a good sign
But i think whats made me warm to him slightly is hearing the reactions of the people and players at AC Milan
Apparently all the players were crying etc. yesterday after his last match which must mean he is an excellent man manager - exactly what we need for the likes of Drogba. All you have to do is see the difference between 'Scolari Drogba' and 'Hiddink Drogba' to see the impact a good man manager can have on a player.

However, what puts me off him slightly is his apparent difficulty to get rid of the older players, and i think Chelsea's problem is not our lack of talent coming through the ranks, but our refusal to give them a chance and i personally would love to see the likes of Sinclair, Stoch, Mancienne, Di Santo, Kakuta etc. get an opportunity in the 1st team

Also he's been in Italy for pretty much his whole career so it will be a big change to the pace of the premier league, but from what ive seen of Milan, for an Italian side they were quite attacking and played possession football which would be nice to see Chelsea play.

So overal my thoughts about Ancellotti becoming our manager has turned from major dissapointment to mixed feelings

RE: Ancelotti leaves Milan
Ancelotti is a quality manager & is much loved by milan players & fans. The Ancelotti cycle came to a natural end this season. He had about 400 games in charge of milan & only lost 81, that is some record in my opinion.

The football his milan team played was very technical but that doesn't mean he can't change his tactics to suit the premier league & the players he will have at his disposal. Yes there are a few older players at milan but a few of them were put their by berlusconi. This season they have been recruiting mainly younger players. Sheva was bought back on loan purely by berlusconi, flamini arrived with ronaldinho (both under 30) & of course they have the amazing 19 year old pato as well as the god that is kaka. Let's not forget that this ageing milan side demolished the so called wonderful man.utd 3-0 in the semi finals just 2 years ago.

At the end of the day you don't manage & club like milan for 8 years & win the champions league twice if your a bad manager so if the club & fans of chelsea give him more of a chance than they did scolari he will be a very successful manager for them.

I speak as an english living season ticket holder of milan.
