Although the web has meant that lots of people have watched porn, who wouldn't go into a physical shop, such as many women, hetero or lesbian, I would expect that the majority of active viewers remain hetero-males, overwhelmingly.
However, the way so much nominally hetero porn is filmed, it seems that some producers and directors are hedging their bets, that significant numbers of others are watching, or that a lot of closeted men are.

The web has also meant a lot of people have become involved in the spectrum of sex work, that might not have otherwise.

The problem for men in porn is that they have very little bargaining power. There's always someone willing to do it for less.

Finding women to appear in porn is a lot more difficult, and therefore costly, especially as they need to have the right looks.
