The suggestion is that 4 clubs would be relegated and 2 would be promoted.

Still would be no play offs tho unless 1 team goes up then 2 to 5 play each other in the play offs.

i think thats very unlikely to happen mate, it was just something that Brighten FC CEO came up with to try and stop Brighton getting relegated, very poor selfish thinking,

Brighton wouldn't be relegated anyway, as things stand. If the season couldn't be completed there's no way they could go down.

RE: Should all PL/EFL matches be now played behind closed doors?
I think the season really should be played out to a conclusion when possible.
The worry I would have with the season being declared null and void is a whole raft of legal actions from clubs in positions to win leagues or obtain promotion.
The idea of terminating the leagues with their current positions being final and determining promotion and relegation may also produce legal actions by clubs who argue they are being denied the opportunity to obtain promotion by one means or another at one end or avoid relegation at the other quite often in a situation where not all teams have played the same number of matches in an incomplete season.
The idea of terminating the FA Cup may have the theoretical consequence of denying a club the chance to qualify for Europe by virtue of winning the Cup where their league position does not qualify them.
I think the European competitions should also be played out in full to the end.
The respective leagues and tournaments will finish when they finish.

For me it is a matter of principle.
Once competitions have started they should be played out in accordance with the rules and method set out at the start. To change the rules deep into any game is always dangerous and has the potential to cause much rancour and bitterness.
Legal action is a genuine worry.

Far better despite not being perfect for the next seasons competitions to be affected rather than this.
And why?
Because the rules and formats of all competitions for the following season can be ironed out before the start and therefore at a point when everybody starts from zero and knows the rules and format from the word go.

^ Agreed Snookered. One thing that I heard mentioned is that players contracts run to 30th June so if the leagues in this and other countries extend beyond this then they’ll have to find a solution to allow short term contracts for some players.

UEFA are apparently hoping that all European leagues can be played to completion and that it can be done by the 30 June date that SecretAgent mentioned above. In the meantime as widely expected the Euro 2020 tournament has been postponed for a year and will now become Euro 2021.

yes but hes clearly smart enough to see the face they couldn't win was likely to see them in bottom 3 by the end of the season, now the season is could be finished in the summer that could still happen

uefa are going to make a decision next week about this apparently they where talking about it on sky news, its looking at the moment like players are not going to allowed to play for any other club until the season is finished even if they are out of contract, they will just play for the club they were with being paid for each match they play until the season is done then they could leave
