World Wrestling Entertainment has been made aware of the passing of Gertrude (Luna) Vachon. WWE extends its deepest condolences to the Vachon family.

Ms. Vachon was under contract with WWE at various times from 1993 through 2000, and performed under the name “Luna” Vachon. She last performed for WWE in early 2000.

It seems not a month goes by without the passing of some wrestling personality. Sad news indeed.

Former wrestling star Jorge Gonzales (El Gigante in WCW, Giant Gonzales WWF) has passed away at 44 years old, following complications with diabetes; among other ailments.

Gonzales is perhaps best known for his short run in the WWF during 1993, where he had the famous match with the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. However he was first discovered by WCW after playing basketball for the Atlanta Hawks and would go on to wrestle Ric Flair.

In his latter years he ran a farm in his native Argentina.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

Truly sad, he is one of my earliest american wrestling memories as El Gigante in WCW

WWE has come to terms on the release of Matt Hardy, effective as of October 15, 2010. WWE wishes Matt Hardy the best in his future endeavors.


To Be honest i am glad he is gone hated the guy with a passion plus he is way out of shape.

Has been on the cards since he got sent home a few months ago an since then has turned into a right weird one.

No doubt will turn up in TNA once the 90 day non compete clause is over.
