Kennedy getting shot did not stop the BBC broadcasting the very first episode of Doctor Who the next day though?

Funny how all these people across the country who claim they never watch the BBC are complaining about BBC coverage of this event.

The BBC is constantly under attack from a Government that only knows how to do one thing, that is wage a culture war. The BBC is seen as too left wing & anti-Brexit (excuse me I had to laugh at the stupidity), it had to devote a considerable amount of time to this as the conservative flag shagging snow flakes would of lost it. Did they go overboard ? Certainly but I can see why they chose to do it

I was conversing with a guy elsewhere about the level of coverage, he was in favour of yesterday's amendments.
I asked him what he thought would be the right level when Her Majesty dies.
He replied he thought that the national service broadcasters, BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 should either close down or broadcast just memorial programmes for a week as a mark of respect. He considered that C-Beebies should continue because the very young wouldn't understand and that CBBC should broadcast pertainant educational programmes.
It remains to be seen what lessons broadcaster's take from this dry run but I would think that they've already laid their plans and have got programmes in the can that just need topping and tailing before going to air. That must've been the case this time.

^a couple of questions -

1) What would be the protocol for an MP who REFUSES to swear allegiance to any new monarch?

2) Would any Commonwealth country refuse to recognise Charles as the new head of the Commonwealth?

3) Is it still possible in the event of Philip's death, would the Queen will abdicate the throne and how will this news be conveyed to the nation?

4) Would it be possible a shared coverage of the news of her death (or possible abdication) be possible between networks?
