I sometimes wonder what’s the best word for the body part also known as bum, butt or booty. ASS sounds very American, but is ARSE a bit rough and unsexy?

You have to consider the entirety of the bottom, though - the cheeks are just the exterior, the window-dressing, if you like. You might admire a woman’s bum cheeks, but you wouldn’t pant lustily, “I want to take you up the bum cheeks.”
