Possible problem

I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but every time i come to this website i get a message from my virus scanner saying that its blocked threats. I dunno if it is a real issue or if its just the virus scanner going crazy. It doesn't do it on other websites though.

   

I've no idea what crueltyrefundye is. I've never been to that website and never would.

Avast is probably throwing a wobbler due to the many dubious hosting sites used for pics & vids. They're usually free for a reason.

Yes many of the videos posted in this forum come with dodgy pop-up ads.

I get the same on any post with a picture or video attachment

It'd be helpful if you could keep track of specific posts or pages that give you grief, that way you can report them to us and we can look into it. Sure we can't do anything about the host sites themselves, as we have no control over the crap they allow, but if a specific host is causing lots of problems, we can look into blocking it, or if it's just their embeds that are the issue, ask members to stop embedding videos from them.

I would also suggest adding more blockers etc, the more the merrier imo.
I use the following and I don't have any issues here, in fact they block most of the crap online if you turn them up to 11.

AdGuard, uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Adblock Plus and Pop Up Blocker for Chrome.

There are others available, so see what works best for you and the browser you're using. The above are free and work well.
Oh and obviously I recommend good antivirus software, I use Norton myself, but everyone has their preferences. I also suggest grabbing SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebyes, the free versions do a decent enough job, although the paid version of Malwarebytes is a little sensitive for my liking, but hey, preferences and all that jazz.

I have had to send my iPhone back to apple because of numerous problems to get repaired. Some of these I am sure are caused by the third party host sites so have now installed Norton 360 on spare iPhone this seems to be working well and would recommend this

I also now use m security app as ad blocker although this is free version and only offers limited protection

Norton 360 is telling me that dood.ws website is unsafe and should be avoided so am consciously avoiding any videos hosted here
