I had a ZX Spectrum, but was glad to say I didn't have a Sinclair C5 Vehicle.

The man who helped give the computer to the masses. He was also ahead of his time with the C5.

I never had a ZX Spectrum, I had a C64, some of my friends had one which I had go on many a time, was a nifty little computer with plenty classic games for it.

Sad news indeed

My first gaming computer was a ZX Spectrum. I remember the iconic yellow and blue lines on the screen while the tapes were loading and it came with exciting games to get you started. I used to love the Magic Knight and Dizzy puzzle solving games plus a very early version of a football manager game. Good times. Smile

I had all the Spectrum computers good to see not only emulators are available that allows you to play Speccy games onlinebut osme websites as well I am sure there aremany more out there that I don't know about.

But as for Sir Clive himself, his computing inventions, brought computers into our houses and when you think about it, probably the C5 showed us what is possible with electric vehicles and look where we are now. We probably lost one of our best inventors/innovators that we we probslby not see again in our lifetime.

RIP Sir Clive and thank you for all the crazy computing we did in in our childhood.
While I'm thinking about I am sure in one of the manuals of the Speccy versions wasn't there a program written in it that when completed produced a flag (which i think was the Union Jack?)

Hi

Sir Clive also invented the first calculator in the 1970s it cost around £75.00 at the time, which for me as a junior clerk was around 6 weeks take home.

Around 18 months later the brought out another simpler model ar around £25.00 which for me was around 1 weeks wages and I bought it, compared to present day calculators it was power hungry but it made my job a lot easier

RIP Sir Clive i thank you for the calculator
