Excellent start for GB in the mixed doubles curling round robin stage.
They have beaten 2 powerhouse nations so far in a row in the form of Sweden then Canada. Both Jen Dodds and Bruce Mouat seem to be getting used to the ice conditions and settling well.

TBF to Jen Dodds and Bruce Mouat, they were 6 - 3 down in the match and they realised it was going to be impossible to win. All we can hope is that their doubles form and performances translates to their respective teams.

Did they bring the Mens rescheduled Downhill forward. If so, they didn't change EPG and I missed recording it live - only caught highlights by accident!! I am convinced that it was meant to be scheduled in between slalom legs. Anyhow congrats B Feux, he has now taken out the biggest prize of all. Really good track too, wouldn't be out of place on the World Cup tour but for logistics. Bring on the Women now. #equalprizemoney#

Dispite testing positive for a banned substance Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva, was cleared to continue competing at the Games substance.
At a hearing from the Court of Arbitration for Sport they ruled there were exceptional circumstances because she was on 15 years old.

A cheat is a cheat, the Russians cheat no matter what they call themselves or how old they are. 15 year old people today are NOT the same as 15 year olds were back in the day.

Today proved to be the heartbreak day for a couple of contestants.

Japan's trio of speed skaters were leading Canada in the team pursuit final and leading into the last corner, when Nana Takagi got one of her blades caught in the ice, causing her to fall and crash into the barriers.

And the Russian biathlon team were 50 secs in the lead when last man Eduard Latypov missed five targets at the final shoot. Norway ended up winning the gold and France the silver, with Russia ending up with the bronze medal.
