I think 2 years is excessive. Too many babes will get 2 cracks at the title.

If we went down that road, I'd say a 16 month qualifying period was enough. If a babe can't get noticed in 4 months, would she be likely to win anyway?

The vote has run with a cut off date of the start of November for the last 4 years
Until 2018 it ran with a start of Dec cut off date , we change this to Nov as many felt it gave the girls a better chance if they started in the autumn,
I could see an argument for maybe moving to a 13 month period but don't think it right to change once the vote is running,
This hasn't been am issue for the last 3 years so see this year as an unusual one as so few newbies have come through

The point I was making badly it seams is that a lot of the girls I thought to be newcomer like Zoe, Ferrari & Bliss actually debut in October so were not eligible for this year's vote,
And yes without doubt the smallest number of newcomers we have ever had to chose from this year

Nobody, anywhere, is suggesting we need to revisit past competitions. That's a strawman argument.
Neither does moving the start date about solve anything when it's the 12 month qualifying period that's the problem, clearly, or we wouldn't be having this discussion.

This definitely needs to be addressed going forward imo, and I don't see why a 13 month qualifying period would be a problem.

How i think the newcomer vote should work is it should be yearly not with all these dates and all that so that means every newbie in the hole year can be included.

No newbies have ever been excluded from this vote , it makes no difference if it's the start of November or the end of December the vote covers everyone if it's based on 12 months then some girls will always have less time to get noticed that's life lol

Maybe I have a problem voting in comps I don't regard as fair. But I'll accept you don't want to change the rules after the comp has started.
Although, by your own admission, this has been an ongoing problem and it could have been addressed before now.
But I suspect you're just going to ignore the issue and we'll be back here again next year.

Yes, I agree this needs looked at. 2 weeks is nowhere near enough for her to make an impact for last years vote, yet it disqualifies her from this years vote.

Totally agree. Zoe is the only stand out newbie this year but would be virtually unknown after only being around for 2 weeks last year. I'm not bothering either if she's not eligible

When you think about it, as it currently stands it's more like a season similar to football, so it's 2021-22.
When it's run from Jan 1st to December 31st you can truly give it the title of Newcomer of the Year.
Shifting to start date to the left is a waste of time, & only moves the problem into the previous month.
Unlike all the other comps, the Newcomer has a unique issue, as it's a once in a lifetime chance. In all other Annual comps there's always the next year. That said thinking out of the box it required, in terms of qualification of babes. Surly an expansion of a few months is neither here or there & would give ALL babes just one shot at winning. Some flexibility is essential to make this an all-inclusive comp.

You can add Bliss di Micco to this year's lists of ineligible babes. surprised that her name hasn't cropped up, despite having some knockers she has a decent fanbase. Bliss made her TV debut in March, but had appeared in late October doing Webshows.

That a pretty big thing to say it's not a fair competition ,
I haven't said it's an on going issues it's one that seamed to be sorted 4 years ago by the move of the date to November, and it clearly worked for 3 years,
I said I like the idea of the 13 months didn't you read my earlier post, I am always trying to make these better why would you think I wouldn't change it,
To me if you don't vote them you really haven't got anything to say about the vote
