The BBC
A thread to debate the BBC.

I'll start off. I'm feed up with seeing a vast array of so called experts sat in the studios to debate the Olympic events.
Last night in the studios there were 3 experts and a presenter. This morning two presenters in the studio and an expert discussing the gymnastics, and a commentator and two experts at the event.
Last night during the athletics I saw a runner being interviewed by one BBC employee before being interviewed by another (I believe that the first interview was for the radio and the second for TV).

They need to start making cutbacks, start using shared commentary with other broadcasters, kie NZ, Australia and Ireland to reduce costs.

The way things are going, there won't be a BBC by the end of this decade.

RE: The BBC
I think the BBC should change to a subscription or part subscription only model.

People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

RE: The BBC
The BBC can fund themselves however they want as long as it doesn't involve people being forced to pay for a TV Channel under threat of prosecution.

For years the Conservatives wanted the BBC to toe the line and reflect Tory positions. They inserted Tory management on the BBC to drive behaviour that reflected Tory values. You could therefore say that in regard to BBC sex pests that policy has been very successful Big Laugh

RE: The BBC
I'm fast coming to the conclusion that comedy programmes have become a thing of the past on the BBC.

At Christmas they are going to have specials of Gavin and Stacy and Mrs Brown's Boys. Both are well past their sell buy date but there's nothing new to put on the schedule. There's just no new decent comedy about.
