RE: well done amir khan
The stick wasn't really unfair, he thought the sun shone out of his arse, he had no reason to, because he had not at that point proven himself at Professional level. So the Knockout to Breidis Prescott was brilliant, mostly just because I hate bigheaded fuckers like him. But he has went off and got with one of the best trainers in the world, is sparring with the best fighter in the world and it shows, he is very impressive in the ring now. But I refuse to take back anything I said about him before, anytime I gave him stick he deserved it, he was a cocky prick with no reason to be cocky. Now he has got a reason to be cocky though because he is now a world class fighter.

You're not for this world, this world is for you.

Amir has learned from his mistakes and got the right team behind him now. It's a shame his promoter is a total **** who seems to have a big problem with me. Anyway, I'm really happy for Khan.

RE: well done amir khan
It is a general misconception in this country that when a person shows confidence, they are presumed to be cocky and bigheaded. It was the media that built up Amir Khan after his Olympic success, like they do to all potential world stars from this country. He may have also believed the hype and took Prescott too lightly and paid the price. The Prescott defeat was the best thing that could have happened to Amir Khan. You also have to remember it happened only 10 months ago and he is the World Champ after 22 fights. He is a much grounded guy and comes across as a great ambassador for British boxing. He is not cocky at all; he just has confidence in his own ability. He has rebuilt his career and under Freddie Roach (the best coach in the world), he will go on to become an even better fighter. Prince Naseem and Ricky Hatton were never the same after tasting defeat for the first time. So losing so early in his career was a blessing. It takes great desire and hunger to succeed and he showed a master class tonight. He fought a tough guy with a great defence who had never been stopped. He is now one of only two British World champions in Boxing. His new style will provide him with longevity in the sport. He is in a tough division and only time will tell how good he will become in the future.

Just a note. Breidis Prescott, the previously unbeaten fighter who knocked out Khan within a minute lost to the unheralded Mexican Miguel Vasquez on points. What a difference 10 months make.

Boxers are supposed to come across as cocky, they talk themselves up, that's what they do.

I think Khan gets unnecessary stick for supposedly having a glass jaw(Breidis Prescott has knocked out 18 of his 21 opponents).

I'd like to see Khan and him have a rematch.

RE: well done amir khan
I think the media are getting far to carried away about Amir. Yes he's a good fighter but at the moment nothing more than that. He got knocked out by a no-one, then beat barrera who was fighting pretty much blind by an awful cut. He's now won a 2nd rate world title against a 3rd rate "world champ". For all his speed & so called power amir never shook up the champ last night. In time he may prove me wrong but all this talk of him fighting mayweather, pacquiao & even hatton (who never ducked anyone unlike calzaghe) is laughable. At this present time amir wouldn't last 5 rounds with any of them. Any half decent punch shook him up last night & i'm afraid his chin will always let him down. As i said before he's a good fighter but nothing more.

my apologies if u were watchin a differant fight but ur analycis coudnt be mre wrong
hes better than jus a good fighter hes very good
his chin like they say is made of glass but let me just say not many fighters would get up from thosse punches prescott landed not a suspect chin suspect defeences
the wba world title is great title and kotenik was a good fighter great defence and tough , to call kotelnik a 3rd rate champ is quite frankly an outrages statment he had only lost two fights stepping into the ring last night and from all acounts they were both dodgy or contencis decisons
khan schooled him last night and as far as being shook every time he got hit i cant remember him being hit that often and when he did he waent shook he just tightend his defence for 20 seconds

THE BOY DONE GOOD HE DESERVES THE CREDIT HE WILL SURLY GET

Yes i agree that anyone would have been knocked out by prescott punches as he did catch amir cold. However amir has been rocked by punches from a fair few opponents. Lets not forget that kotenik has only stopped 13 fighters so he is not in anyway a big hitter. He is just a tough defensive fighter. In my opinion khan has only fought 1 top 10 fighter in barrera & the cut made it a no contest. Yes khan deserves credit as he is good but i don't share the widespread opinion that he is brilliant. He's fast but with no big power to upset any of the top fighters like mayweather, pacquiao & the rest. I fear he is being pushed too much too young & will be put in a "super fight" way before he is ready & will be knocked out quick.
