Just like to sadly report the tragic death of Paul Grey bassist in the mighty Slipknot.
Such a shame thats its happened first the Rev of Avenged Sevenfold, then Pete Steele,Ronnie James Dio passing last week and now Paul Grey just tragic news for rock music.
RIP Brothers.

I think God must be putting together a supergroup up there to take all these guys, may they all rest in peace and their families find peace and comfort too.

That'll be one hell of a super group too with all the other legends up there but its just a crying shame that we the living will never hear them.

News on Kerrang.com about Slipknot holding a press conference to pay tribute to Paul Grey:

"Paul Gray was the essence of the band Slipknot," said percussionist Shawn 'The Clown' Crahan.
"Paul was there from the very very beginning and none of us would be on the path we're on right now in life or have the sorts of lives we have without him." "My life changed the moment I met Paul," said DJ Sid Wilson fighting back the tears. "I am going to miss him greatly."
"I'd just like to say that I miss my brother so much it's very hard for me right now," added drummer Joey Jordison. "God bless you, I love you."Gray's pregnant wife, Brenna, was also at the press conference."He was an amazing person and I just want people to remember him for just that," she said. "His daughter will remember him for the way he was."

There's also video footage on the website too.

I am really sad about this, it seems like somebody in one of my favourite bands always dies, Dimebag Darrell (not in Pantera when he was killed but still), The Rev and now Piggy, which I affectionately called him, not to mention the writer of fucking Holy Diver. If Rob Flynn dies I think I may very well top myself.

Im seriously gutted too, it hasn't been a great year for metal, i just hope it doesn't spell the end for slipknot. Im with you on the Rob Flynn part, dudes a legend.

Gutted. Such great names in the rock/metal world leaving us way too early
I've just watched the interview with Slipknot and Paul's wife,
I had a lump in my throat. Such a sad loss. My thoughts are with Paul's family, friends and band mates.

Paul Grey
Peter Steele
Ronnie James Dio
Rev

Rest in Peace Brothers, Give them the best gig you've ever played wherever you are \m/

Too right mate, it's one of the saddest band interviews I've ever watched,
I've been listening to Slipknot, Type O Negative and Dio all day
