Nirvana for no1 stop x-factor bullyboys - brummie - 13-10-2011 12:13 After x-factor steal the name of an existing charity and refuse to change it suggesting they get a lawyer instead http://www.thecmuwebsite.com/article/x-factor-bosses-screw-over-childrens-charity/ its time to start the fight back by getting behind the campaign to get Smells Like Teen Spirit to christmas No1. It didn't work last year, it won't this Yes, I agree that the abuse of a children's charity is a bad thing, & I would also far rather support a campaign against the inevitable X Factor charity record which will be released well before Christmas. That is what you should be opposing, but I just bet you wouldn't dare RE: Nirvana for no1 stop x-factor bullyboys - brummie - 13-10-2011 13:16 The crap factor charity record is I believe gonna be an undoubtedly shit version of Wishing On A Star by Rose Royce, and no I wont be buying that but if a campaign gets going to buy the original who knows RE: Nirvana for no1 stop x-factor bullyboys - bombshell - 13-10-2011 13:50 Having read through several reports of this story about the charity with the same name of Rhythmix, i think sometimes the way in which the tale is told can suit whoever is telling it,i dont think it will affect the charity in any way whatsoever, and the so called group in question will probably fade into oblivion anyway. Still cant see why all the fuss about X Factor,it bears no threat to the music industry, looking at the charts i sometimes wish it would,Urban/ Rap are so boring same old backing track, personally i hated Rage Against the Machine, not a fan of Nirvana either. The X Factor is what it is Saturday night entertainment, along with all the other mediocre stuff. RE: Nirvana for no1 stop x-factor bullyboys - brummie - 13-10-2011 14:10 Don't see how you can say crap factor has done no harm to the music industry when it has a strangle hold on the mass media and is nothing more than a 3 month advert for bland pap music. It has been responsible for inflicting mindless, passionless production line music like JLS, and One Direction not to mention the totally bland Cheryl Cole.I agree about urban/rap non music but the kind of boring insipid pop that fills the charts is no better. Where is the outlet for musicians who can actually play and create music with passion and inspiration, where is the outlet in the media for rock, indie, metal? thats probably the biggest travesty people dont get to hear real music unlee they go out and look for it all the mainstream media is dominated by the major record companies pumping out their own mass produced pap. Once upon a time artists were rewarded for originality and creativity now we have x-factor moulding everyone to sound the same and promising instant fame and fortune for barely average performers. Interestingly a documaentary on John Lennon at the weekend posed the question which of todays artists would use their status to focus on political issues the way Lennon did? Can you really see Olly Murs demonstrating against the war in Afghanistan the way Lennon did against Vietnam RE: Nirvana for no1 stop x-factor bullyboys - terence - 13-10-2011 14:56 the kunt who invented auto-tune should be strung up by their genitals!!! RE: Nirvana for no1 stop x-factor bullyboys - bombshell - 13-10-2011 14:59 I agree about John Lennon he really was a Working class Hero, and still is in my mind, who knows maybe you are right and i am wrong, but i dont believe people would buy the likes of Olly whatever is name is if they did'nt like him,he seems a nice enough guy but not my taste musically. Music will always divide opinion. We are probably going to have to agree to disagree,i dont believe the likes of X Factor stops good music coming through.
