January Transfer Window 2012 - Money_Shot - 31-12-2011 02:38 So with the Window opening in less then 24 hours, the rumour mill is in full swing. Has your club any players lined up? Or are they shutting up shop and hoping no players will be leaving. At the moment it looks like Cahill will be joining Chelsea from Bolton. That will mean they have cash to spend and could be the ones to spark the transfer merry-go-round. Arsenal look set to bring back Henry on loan, although I think Wenger maybe be looking to strengthen else where considering he will want to get a top 4 spot and progress in the C.L. QPR boss Neil Warnock reckons he could do with 4 players, so no doubt there will be some fresh faces at Loftus Road. Stoke boss Tony Pulis has said up to 6 players are free to leave The Britannia in this window, but will he be looking to replace the out going players ? I expect Tottenham to do some business. As much as old Candleface hates the tag of "wheeler and dealer" he is the expert so I expect he has some players lined up. Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic seems to be linked with virtually every Premier League side outside the current top 4 at the moment but where will he end up ? It will be a busy month I've no doubt about that RE: January Transfer Window 2012 - broncobilly10 - 31-12-2011 02:58 Liverpool need a proven goal scorer someone who has done it in the p.league suarez is good but will miss 9 games not convinced carroll or bellamey will fill the gap RE: January Transfer Window 2012 - iamthatjack - 31-12-2011 05:49 I have a horrible feeling both Zamora and Andy Johnson will leave, and if they do, we may have a striking issue! RE: January Transfer Window 2012 - Money_Shot - 31-12-2011 10:31 What about Bryan Ruiz, he is a forward isn't he ? I would say if you lose both players then you will need at least one striker in. Nicky Maynard is a name being thrown around with Fulham and several other clubs. Andy Johnson again being linked with a £2million move to Blackburn today. Wayne Bridge has been linked with several clubs again, Liverpool, Arsenal, QPR, Newcastle. Liverpool will need cover for Saurez if the 8 games stands. Not sure who though. Perhaps Lukas Podolski as he has been linked with several sides for a move away. RE: January Transfer Window 2012 - mitchell - 31-12-2011 16:35 I don't really expect any big transfers at Liverpool if any at all unless Damien Comolli finds Kenny a youngster or two. We could do with a goalscorer but I doubt that will happen in January due to the prices & unwillingness to sell. Err we've got José Enrique who at the moment is possibly the best performing left back in the league not to mention Jack Robinson a good young player as well as Daniel agger & Glen Johnson who can fill the role. We won't just go out & buy a striker just because Luis Suarez might be missing, we've got enough cover as it is with Andy Carroll, Craig Bellemy, Dirk Kuyt & Steven Gerrard, we need a new striker but as I said I don't see it happening next month. If Fulham or anyone of these type of clubs are looking for a striker who'll cost less than £5m they should look at Rickie Lambert maybe £3-£5m & Billy Sharp £3m from the championship. I don't see any of the top six doing big business outside of maybe the Chelsea Gary Cahill deal & Tottenham saying they'll look to get a big signing if possible, I can see them going for Kaká like they did with Rafael van der Vaart. RE: January Transfer Window 2012 - bigguy01 - 31-12-2011 20:20 there is a rumour going villa park that darren bent is looking to leave villa with a possibility of going to back london with qpr or to liverpool. RE: January Transfer Window 2012 - HannahsPet - 31-12-2011 22:52 Was rumour the other day about Del Piero to rovers hope not del piero was class player but that was 10 years ago think it was more venkys smoke screen RE: January Transfer Window 2012 - iamthatjack - 01-01-2012 01:27 (31-12-2011 10:31 )Money_Shot Wrote: What about Bryan Ruiz, he is a forward isn't he ? Yeah he is a forward, but if they both go, as you say we need at least 1 striker, and he needs to be a natural goal scorer rather than a Zamora type player, a hug long shot, but Darren Bent would be nice! That's one rumour I'd like NOT to see become fruitful. |
