I love The Monkees music, and watched and enjoyed the tv series when i was younger. A sad loss to the music world!

Have to say this was a true shock when i heard it on the news,i remember the Monkees with a real fondness,it was a great time for New Music.

It was only a few days ago when I was watching Davy Jones on Pop Life: I'm in a Boyband on BBC Two. He looked well for his sixty six years, so I was surprised to hear of his passing.
He said in the programme, "As a cute, little guy, I have no problem with that. Just don't tap me on the head, you know, cos I'll knock you out!" True Brit grit!

Outnumbered kids did a verison of hey hey we are the monkees, i think its best tribute paid to davy jones.

As well as gaining fame in the Monkees, he also made an appearance on Coronation St as Ena Sharples grandson..
It's believed that he had a heart attack.
