Should be a close series,Australia ranked No.1 & England usually perform well at home.Australia put England in & under difficult batting conditions with 3 rain breaks, paced their innings well with the acceleration coming from Morgan 89 not out posting a useful 272-5.

A strong, solid performance across the whole team today. Bowlers done a decent job to contain the Australian attack, and then the batters done excellently to get the runs.
Well played England.

England showing they can rest key players and still win comfortably. A very promising era right now for England. This team can go and dominate for years. The boo boys need to give them a break when they lose every now and then, and get behind them. Barmy Army!

What is the reason for this England-Australia series? Is it simply a money raising scheme?

The reason for this series dates back to Englands poor performance at the last World Cup.It was decided that we were so bad that we needed to play more ODI's.

The 3 ODI at Edgbaston has been abandoned without a ball being bowled. This prevents England from taking a 5-0 series win which would have elevated them to number one in the world.
