Isnt it time to jail cheating bankers? - SOCATOA - 30-06-2012 18:24

Cameron says "lets not have an inquiry until we know the facts" Does the posh dipstick not know that's what an inquiry does. Cameron was quick enough to out Jimmy Carr so why not name the criminal greedy fuckers that are swindling everyone. The cure is jail the fuckers for a long time when found out, not a slap and a knighthood! Pathetic leaders up the bankers arses.annoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyed

Cameron has almost certainly been "advised" to tread carefully on this one. The Police will investigate this, it's only a matter of time.

Barclays is the tip of the Iceberg.

Countries should follow Iceland's example on how to deal with these fucking bankers. We have the same problem in Ireland like in Britain, the bankers are untouchable and wield to much power over politicians. Bankers get a slap on the wrist for doing what they are doing, but if its an ordinary person on the street that does something wrong, they get a sledge hammer to the hand. It seems their is one rule for the rich and another rule for the ordinary people

Sadly in Britain it is the bankers and other big corporate companies that bank roll not only the government but the Police department as well. They'll have you believe it is all paid for by the British tax payer but when they are registered at charter house as a profit making company you start to question these things.

Camoron is just avoiding an inquiry into these facts. Once questions like this start snow balling we'll be asking ourselves why have Camoron in charge at all, after-all he is only a puppet on string.

50yrs and more ago to be working in a bank or finance was a noble socially accepting and the customers know their bank managers because the managers had to know everything about them before they can get a loan not just whether can they afford it or not. now working in finance or banks is now faceless and people dont know their bank manager and getting access to credit was made easier by the labour party. the financial services authority (FSA) have the power to investigate the banks but have no back bone. bank of england (boe) had all the power but mr gordon brown decide to take the power from boe and give to the useless fleckless fsa.

It's worth noting that "Bankers" who actually work in High Street Banks and the Wide Boys on the Trading Desks in the City of London are 2 entirely different breeds.

I did a lot of work in the Square Mile in the late 80's & early 90's and i never want anything to do with those people again. They would sell their Grannies if they could make a few quid out of it.

Noticed that some "Top Tories" may be dragged into this. Does this surprise anyone? One thing you can depend on is a few resignations and then back to deciet and money grabbingSadSad

It won't just be "Top Tories"...Some Labour & Lib Dem names will be looking nervously over their shoulders too. There are plenty of Champagne Socialists out there.

That's Barclay's chairman resigned in the wake of the fixing scandal. 65 years old and was to retire next year, bless him. Cameron has announced an inquiry, obviously under public pressure. Suppose they will all get together and sort out the mess. A resignation here and there, but they will all have piles of cash to fall back on, poor souls. Must ask Ladbrokes the odds against a bank chairman being jailed for fraud over the next 3 years. As they are all in it together and have the politicians up their arses should get a million to one against.
