Movies/Tv - Facts and Trivia - *Kal-El* - 20-08-2014 10:40

Thought i would share a couple movie and tv facts if anyone is interested so here goes:

In 3 scenes of Terminator 2 Actress Linda Hamilton identical twin was used, the playground scene, CPU reprogramming scene (in the mirror) and the Foundry scene (as the T-1000/Sarah Connor). Also on the theme of twins, twin actors were used to play twins the security guard and his T-1000 double at the hospital. Some people thought that on all these scenes that CGI was used.
The Second movie fact comes from Back To The Future Part 2, they was supposed to a scene set in 2015 were a future wad to be played this would have involved the sport being played on the court, on wall and also using the ceiling but was never filmed due to the budget but there is still a hint to it, if you look on Marty Mcfly's future trainers there called Nike Air Mags, short for magnets this would have played in the scene were the future sport would have been played allowing to walk on the walls and ceiling. One final couple facts about the movie are that scenes with Marty Mcfly's brother and sister in the alternate 1985 were cut as the actress playing his sister was having a baby but his brother scene was already filmed but was cut for the film. Back To The Future Part 2 was also the first film to have the sequela filmed back to back this was later done with the Matrix 2 and 3.

I wonder how many sets of twins have been used in movies, I can imagine it's a lot more than people think. Nice facts.

Another interesting fact is that the late Chris Reeve wanted Tom Welling (Clark Kent-Smallville) to play big screen Superman

He would have been a better choice than Brandon (slightly wooden) Routh, they should have listened.

I don't want to divert this interesting thread into the realms of continuity errors, as we could go on forever. But worth recommending that you have a close look at the movie Pretty Woman the next time it shows on TV.

Pretty Woman is a continuity disaster. There is a major goof in every other scene. But my favorite is the restaurant scene, famous for Julia Roberts struggling with the escargot. She has the ice cream for desert and every time the camera cuts back to her, it is at a different stage of consumption. It's full, it's half eaten, it's full, it's finished, it's half eaten, it's being cleared from the table, it's full, it's being served, etc... So obvious and funny when you know to look for it.

A close second place goes to her room service breakfast after the first night with Richard Gere. It's a croissant, it's a pancake, it's a croissant, it's a pancake...

Continuity errors would fall into the realm of trivia. I enjoy spotting them, you would think they are left in on purpose in many cases, especially if you spot them easily, an editor would surely scrutinise the footage in more detail than a viewer...well you'd hope.

Here's some...''flubs''...

Here's another fact but people probably already know this but the Superman suit that Clark wears at the Smallville finale is the same one from Superman Returns but they had to modify the suit slightly as Tom Welling is actually bigger then Brandon Routh they used the same suit as it cost too much money and time to design a new Superman suit from scratch just one ep plus it was the last ever ep.
