England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - cosmonaut - 29-08-2016 12:38 England squad for the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia in Trnava on Sunday 4 September. Goalkeepers: Forster (Southampton), Hart (Man City), Heaton (Burnley) Defenders: Cahill (Chelsea), Clyne (Liverpool), Jagielka (Everton), Rose (Tottenham), Shaw (Man Utd), Smalling (Man Utd), Stones (Man City), Walker (Tottenham) Midfielders: Alli (Tottenham), Antonio (West Ham), Dier (Tottenham), Drinkwater (Leicester), Henderson (Liverpool), Lallana (Liverpool), Rooney (Man Utd), Sterling (Man City), Walcott (Arsenal) Forwards: Kane (Tottenham), Sturridge (Liverpool), Vardy (Leicester) RE: England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - dominar rygel xvi - 29-08-2016 12:47 No surprises with the goalkeepers and defenders, since Jack Butland is injured. A big surprise to me that Ross Barkley wasn't one of the midfielders, but Theo Walcott got selected. Jermain Defoe not recalled and since Andy Carroll is injured there's no surprise with the strikers. RE: England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - lovebabes56 - 29-08-2016 13:42 This is how I think it will line up Sunday Forster Cahill Clyne Smalling Stones or Walker Alli or Dier Drinkwater Henderson or Lallana Rooney or Sterling Kane Sturridge RE: England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - William H Bonney - 29-08-2016 15:34 There are 5 players from the Euro 2016 squad which are missing from this squad, but that includes Milner who's retired now. Wilshere has hardly played for Arsenal this season, so Barkley is the only surprise omission from the last sqaud I think. Bertrand and Rashford are the 2 others. RE: England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - lovebabes56 - 29-08-2016 16:25 I think it is a pity he didn't pick Rashford I certainly would have thought he could have had a major part in this campaign, I very much hope Allardyce doesn't dismiss him completely RE: England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - Block - 29-08-2016 16:28 Ther is a strong rumour circulating that Jordan Henderson is going to named as Captain ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() <script src="https://platform.vine.co/static/scripts/embed.js"></script> RE: England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - William H Bonney - 29-08-2016 18:18 (29-08-2016 16:25 )babelover48 Wrote: I very much hope Allardyce doesn't dismiss him completely He hasn't dismissed Rashford. He just wants him to play in the U21s this time. RE: England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - Mellow - 29-08-2016 22:23 It has been confirmed Wayne Rooney will continue as England Captain. RE: England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign - Mellow - 04-09-2016 18:55 Very poor performance by England to scrape a 1-0 win in injury time against Slovakia who were down to ten men for the last 35 minutes. |
