Board Games & Toys You Played With When You Were Young And Miss The Most? - lovebabes56 - 28-02-2017 07:33

I guess we all get misty eyed and sentimental when recall ex babe show babes from time to time well how about getting misty eyed and sentimental when we remember the board games we played when
you was young and miss playing now

I'll kick things off...

I know a lot of the vintage games do pop up on e bay from time to time and I did love playing "Escalado" a lot it was a great horse racing game & also "Mouse Trap" with Esacalado there's a bit of us three kids using it on an old cine film that was recently converted onto DVD plus I do remember my old Action man toys with fondness we had one of the talking dolls god know how much that would be worth now if we still have it!

You can still get the games I liked, kerplunk, buckaroo, pop up pirate, operation, cluedo, monopoly etc.
I did have a cool car garage and mat when I was very young, but again, versions are still available.
You can even get my beloved A-Team van and General Lee, not exactly the same, but yep Rolleyes
It's both good and bad I suppose, good that these things exist and are available, bad because it's all a bit generic. lol.

I used to like Totopoly (horse racing board game) and Go For Broke (like Monopoly but with the aim of losing your money).

Also used to have many hours of fun playing Subbuteo

Three football games I used to enjoy:
Soccerama - a board game where you started at the bottom of the 4th division and tried to work your way up to be 1st division (pre premier league) champions and European cup winners;

Wembley - a board game where, as the name suggests, you tried to steer your team to be F A cup winners;

Penalty! - a game for two players where you used cards to move a "ball" around a pitch to try to score more goals than your opponent. Getting the Penalty card could be a game winner.

Pure nostalgia.

Another one I remember is a travel game called Owzat which consisted of 2 small 6 sided metal "dice" and small plastic cricket pitch I recall. Great for train journeys.
