The new £1 coin comes out today If you get one in your change for the first time keep hold of it and let's have your opinion of it

you have until 15th October to spend the old £1 coins

Only wont become legal tender after october the 15th but you can take them into the bank though

As a coin collector I made it my goal get get one of these today and ended up with 3 from the local P.O. The ones that will be making the big money are these 2015 trial pieces...some have been selling for £2-£300 on fleabay..

no problem Terence I wouldn't have thought the values of those that are sold on e bay are true values unless there was something specific about them that made them worth that much I'll still keep the two I have safe anyway in the faint hope they will be worth something one day will keep a lookout for the Peter Rabbit 50p coins though there are only 4 designs to those I believe and although you can get them from the Royal Mint as a complete se - a complete set in my change might worth something one day too
