The Origins of Your Username - Charlemagne - 12-12-2019 15:59

Where does your username and avatar come from.

Some of the forum just use their names in various forms.
Some use where they are from, especially in their avatar.
Some use a combination of both.

The babes names feature prominently amounst their fans usernames, even when the gilrs are no longer on the shows.
Some usernames come from the TV, film and books.
Numbers in the username can often be of special significance, eg DOB
Some are just a form of phallic symbol. (the use of items of wealth, goods etc)
And then there are the odd ones... which don't fall into any category.

How about yours.. does yours fit into a category

RE: The Origins of Your Username - GMach1 - 12-12-2019 18:48

GMach1-originally GreenMachine(decided to change it to something shorter) Avatar is the latest Aston Martin car which looked good and seemed to suit the new name(used a green supercar before that) Why a paddle with a false moustache and the name Charlemagne(whom I know who he was) but why did you choose it? Smile

Username and avatar are to do with the first post I ever made.

They're still the same because I can't be arsed to change them.

RE: The Origins of Your Username - Charlemagne - 12-12-2019 18:59

In reply to GMach. An expensive car is ........ check my list for the description.

Charlemagne (king of the Franks) was chosen not because my name is Charles, nor is my name Frank, he was a historical figure that I admire.
The name has been problematical, two of the girls couldn't pronounce it on a callout for me and Babestation spelt it incorrectly in a forum awards video.

The Paddle of Rebuke just works with me. He's been out of work since Fosters stopped using him.

My username is my name and year of birth and my avatar is to celebrate the Queen of Babestation in Atlanta Moreno

RE: The Origins of Your Username - skully - 12-12-2019 19:27

My username is a variation of my name (kind of), but it has been my actual nickname since I was about 13 or 14 (so a very long time now). It doesn't hurt that I've always loved everything skull related, started with pirates as a kid, and developed into a ton of other stuff, artwork, ornaments, etc. Plus, there was that one time I knocked out somebody with a headbutt...dropped a few IQ points that day laugh

My avatar was at one point just the skull (a free to use image), but over time I edited it into a gif and made it what it is now, I do have a Christmas version, and a red eyed version, but I like my original creation. Skulls, name, avatar, lifestyle. lol.

^ So my 'works as a gravedigger' assumption is incorrect Wink

RE: The Origins of Your Username - Kingsmind - 12-12-2019 20:23

My Username Kingsmind is just a made up name it is nothing to do with Megamind lol , anyway as i say it is a made up name because i never thought i wouldn't ever use the forum that's why i give my self a random name but i ended up using the forum and posted on it so i have stuck with it ever since , in the future i will probably change my name because i have never really liked the name i mean it doesn't make any sense i would like to be simply known as King.

My Avatar is Thomas Shelby from Peaky Blinders never really watched the program only a couple episodes but i know it is a popular program and i thought with this picture being it is similar to Regenerated being a character i thought i would have a chance to win Best Avatar i wasn't even nominated GOD DAMN IT!.

RE: The Origins of Your Username - Tumble_Drier - 12-12-2019 20:47

Mine was inspired by one of the babes (Danica Thrall maybe?) who had assorted White Goods on her wishlist. I did have a suitable avatar at one point but changed it and can't find the original.

The "Typo" which has occasionally been pointed out by the sort of person who points out typos (you know the sort....a Twat) was due to autocorrect Tongue

RE: The Origins of Your Username - terence - 12-12-2019 20:56
