Hi

I saw him in 2012 at the London Palladium in Wizard of Oz, and in the past lots of time on TV. Great entertainer and as a former customer of mine from my banking cashier days a very nice man

RIP Des you made us all laugh

When I saw the news I said. ''Oh dear''.
I liked the man. He remarked about the Morecambe and Wise thing. Something about all the business he'd lost through it, people taking it at face value but he genuinely didn't seem to mind.

He always came across as a nice chap who could take a joke about his singing, even though he released several albums.
He was also one of the great all round family entertainers.

RIP Des

Another big-time light entertainment legend gone. No slouch as a footballer either. Singing, comedy, presenting; an all-rounder.

RIP Sad
