Well just a few days to go to the first test so what do we think? Do the Lions have a chance? I think we go in as underdogs but then we did 12 years ago too. The big worry is the breakdown area - if we can't secure our own ball we've no chance. Schalk Burger missing the game would be a big help but the Lions back row have to play out of their skins.
If we get the ball, we have backs who can beat anybody. Jamie Roberts and Tommy Bowe are on fire and O'Driscoll very rarely has a bad game. If Stephen Jones (I'm guessing he'll be at stand-off) can kick his penalties we have a chance.
The Boks are undercooked and this test is the Lions best chance of a win. If we go 1-0 up who knows what could happen.

First Test tomorrow and Im really looking forward to it (already got the beers inSmile)

I think the Lions will have thier best chance in the First Test, the Boks have been in camp and havent played much competitive Rugby giving the Lions the edge.(hopefullySmile)

They will have to maintain thier discipline, they have given away too many penalties and cannot afford to lose a man to a yellow card. Cannot do this is agaist the 'Boks

I agree that the breakdown/contact area is crucial as is the Referee (and his Line Judges)
Ian McGeechan is a fine coach.
British & Irish Lions to win......Roar
