The World Seniors begins tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Crucible.
This year spectators will be there too which is good news

Saw some of Darren Morgan's match around lunchtime. It made paint-drying look pulsating. I assume the "Tony" mentioned on commentary is Tony Knowles rather than Tony Meo.
The quality seemed to be inspirational to viewers who probably thought they could do better.

Ken Doherty won a match, and the evening crowd got to see Jimmy White whitewash some poor unknown, before the scintillating main event of Nigel "catatonic at best" Bond versus John "now wears Dennis Taylor's old-style specs" Parrott. Dennis joined Cliff on commentary for that, so Dennis brought up Nigel beating Cliff 10-9 from 9-2 back.
Oh, and Michaela Tabb was ref for Jimmy's match

Joe Johnson did some commentary too, which I thought was an odd crossover, but he had a match today.
Parrott announced his retirement after getting tonked by Nigel Bond, for those who weren't aware he was still going.
Hendry lost 3-0 to Lee Walker too, tee hee!

Reanne Evans did some commenting earlier, and Hendry inevitably got a turn for Jimmy's match with Rory McLeod this evening. Jimmy upped the high break from 121 via a 138 total clearance.

Lilley KO'd the rotten Michael Holt. I was bemused that in the need of a last minute entrant, they would pick out Holt, as he's looked like an escapee from Grange Hill ever since I've known of him.

Lilley's reign ended in the semi-finals, and it's Jimmy White v Lee Walker for the title.

Lee Walker is the champion after yet another fightback. From 2-4 down the Welshman recovered to beat Jimmy White 5-4 and claim the title.
