We all know Babestation were one of the original (if not the original) babechannels, but I was thinking how they would get on now if they went on Dragon's Den.

BS: No, this one has it's own dedicated TV channel, so you can tell the girl exactly what you want to see and she'll do it, provided broadcasting laws allow it.
Dragons: It's an interesting idea, but what if other companies took your idea, and had higher production values and started stealing your business?
BS: We'd start with some hard sell advertising, put more graphics onscreen to inform viewers of how to buy pictures, or just meaningless messages to fill space. A girl will only appear to shill a harder pay-for channel, taking up anything from a non-screen voiceover to a fullscreen takeover. If the professional pics don't sell, we''ll have timed deals to buy amateur snapshots instead. Oh, and we'll slap a connection charge on to our mobile callers (ie the majority of our callers).
Dragons: Not sure about those ideas, what if your loyal fanbase is annoyed by this and even goes so far as to create a specific place on the internet where they complain about these steps?
BS: We'll ignore them, and taunt them by having the awfulness of the graphics vary night by night.
Dragons: We're out.

They are using new OSG'S tonight on Sky BS1 , they are a bit like BSXtra , they are a definite improvement and they don't take up has much of the screen .

Yeah, it takes up less vertical space than the previous version and that's welcome, BUT...this is a real missed opportunity. The new design is no more flexible than the old one. It's a fixed template. They still have no real-time control over the information it displays. If they invested some time, money and a little common sense, they could use that area of the screen to display everything. Ads for BSxtreme, picture offers, girl caller alerts, everything! All at the foot of the screen and out of the way.
Maybe next time, eh?
