Bigguy, rumour control has it the Shazhad could be in the next match replacing Broad who is carrying a niggle.
The Aussies are going to get Slaughted tomorrow by their media.

shazhad, tremlett and bresnan will be having a bowl off in their tour match at the weekend. either tremlett or shazhad would be good but these selectors are idoits half the time so expect bresnan to be selected and therefore england lose the next test.

Well done boys, fantastic win.

Now that we've got the aussies by the throat, we simply must keep squeezing, HARD. (They never used to show us any mercy, it's our turn now) We MUST be aggressive and replace Broady with Tremlett. We know that Bresnan is better with the bat, but we clearly don't need another batsman at 8. Another tall quick bowler is required for the Perth wicket and Tremlett fits the bill perfectly.

Which way they go will clearly show the selectors mindset, will they defend, or get after 'em?

Not even an issue in my book, the Aussies are currently all over the place, we've got them down, keep them there.

Agree Tremlett is the man for the hard Aussie wickets.... Bresnan is a Ryan Harris style bowler.. and we know how well he did in the last test.
Save Bresnan for the limited over matches where he's more effective

Tremlett is the logical choice for the Third Test in Perth especially bearing in mind the type of pitches that the WACA tends to produce. His height, pace and bounce is appropriate for the job. As long as his control is good then he should be fine. So far so good for the team as a whole but absolute focus must be maintained. No room for complacency even against an Australian team in their current situation. I would never, ever write them off, England have to be professional, solid and ruthless. Expose every weakness to the full and punish every error. Its a results business and England have been on the receiving end often enough over the years to have learned what is required. Foot the floor from now to the end.

Agree that Tremlett is the man for Perth and probably the rest of the series as his pace and bounce could well be very difficult to play at the WACA.

The likelihood is that there will be result pitches prepared for the remaining games as the Aussies need to win 2 out of 3 games so the batting performances of Brisbane and Adelaide may soon seem like a while ago...However, their batting line up is more vulnerable to our bowling in Australian conditions than at anytime I can remember so we are in the box seat.

If we could win in Perth then we might well win 3-0 which would be astonishing...

Australia have only taken 16 England wickets in 2 tests and 10 of those were on the first day of the first test. A few headaches for the Australian selectors. They have to do a U-turn on Nathan Hauritz as their spinner cupboard is bare and there's nobody else. But if they change their quick bowlers will it make any difference?

England's win by an innings and 71 runs was their first victory by an innings in Australia since 1986. A stat note on the series: so far England wickets have cost Australia 84.18 runs each, easily their worst bowling average ever, beating 63.81 runs per wicket against Pakistan in 1982-3.

Excellent win for England and Graeme Swann bowled very well today some of the balls he bowled spun quite a bit and my suggestion for the 3rd test is to play an extra bowler not an extra batsmen as i find that rather defensive.

tremlett or shazhad or both
