Yeah, I read the thing about him being injured gardening, proved to be a painful blessing in disguise perhaps.

Was watching this ACL gig and was pleasantly surprised with this cover, something a bit out of the usual:

BBC2's new series "A Life in Ten Pictures" started with a look at Freddie Mercury the other week (try iPlayer, maybe?). What struck me was how many of the contributors (Peter Freestone, Peter Hince etc) have endured remarkably well given it's almost 30 years since FM's death, and how much grimmer things will get once people who actually knew and worked with him all die off too.

30 years ago today the world lost one of its greatest showmen when Freddie Mercury died.

RIP

He died so that multiple Channel 5 documentaries could live (and check out BBC2 on Saturday night!)

Finally got this watched (The Final Act) and given Freddie died 50 minutes into a 90 minute doc, you might get the idea. Nice to see his sister being brought on as someone new to talk about him, though. Lisa Stansfield was a lively contributor too.

Bohemian Rhapsody getting its premiere on C4 next Saturday, for anybody interested who hasn't already seen it.
