RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - HannahsPet - 10-05-2014 10:30 Or your players will choke like they did in olympics final dont know why but this brazilian side doesnt really look that scary on paper think there are a few better sides in the tournaments just because u havent lost a match in brazil since 1975 then law of averages mean you will have to lose one sometime and i reckon this could be the time when it happens do i have to remind you about france 98 and scotland RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Regenerated - 10-05-2014 11:11 I agree, there's certainly not an air of invincibility about this Brazil side. They'll always be strong, I'm not saying they're not, I can't remember Brazil ever having a rubbish side, but I do think teams can get at them. Unfortunately I don't see England as being the side to do it. Argentina still look strongest for me - I really want to see Messi and Aguero have a really excellent tournament. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - lovebabes56 - 10-05-2014 11:48 Just for the record how many host nations have succeeded in winning? England ('66), Germany ('74) Argentina ('78) are the only ones I can recall so far am I right? RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - circles_o_o_o - 10-05-2014 11:58 Uruguay won the first one in 1930 as the first home nation. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - William H Bonney - 10-05-2014 12:13 Plus Italy (1934) and France (1998). RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - HannahsPet - 10-05-2014 13:18 from the world cup stats looks like only 1 of brazils 5 wins has taken place in South america so thats 6 out of 19 torunaments won so 1 in 3 that home team has won the cup not looking odds on that brazil will win it RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Fernandez Esperenda - 10-05-2014 15:53 No European team will win this cup, that I am pretty sure of, People forget teams like Chile, Uruguay and Columbia are more than capable of beating any of the European teams RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - whorelover - 10-05-2014 18:32 I don't think any European team has ever won the WC in S. America. I can't see Chile or Uruguay beating France, Spain, Germany or Italy. They could beat England though, Chile won England 2-0 a few months ago. RE: World Cup 2014 Brasil - Fernandez Esperenda - 10-05-2014 21:42 Italy are a team in transition, don't think they will do very well at all this year, England and Uruguay should make it out of group easily.
