He's now going to be re-sentenced and could serve up to 15 years

Lawyers seem generally to agree that the Court of Appeal has made the right decision, as the original judge's interpretation of the law was unorthodox and hard to sustain.

That doesn't seem possible. He was given a 5 year sentence already, so the maximum would now be 10. Even that wouldn't be served in full and he might get released in something like 3 years.

Today Oscar Pistorius was given a prison sentence of 6 years for the murder of his wife. His defense team will not contest the sentence.
