England were seemingly down for the count after their lost at the Lord's test - but come storming back to win the next three in very convincing fashion. India were awful. It appeared at times that their batsmen in particular were not interested and just threw their wickets away.

Yes being bowled out in 29.2 overs as India were at The Oval is pretty dire. In the end the series was a disaster for them.

India gained 177 runs from extras in this series - only 5 of their players managed to score more. Virat Kohli got 134 which is the 2nd lowest total by a top 4 batsman in a test series having played at least 10 innings. The lowest is also by an Indian, Chandu Sarwate, who scored only 100 runs against Australia in 1947-48.

England win the toss for the 2nd ODI and put India into bat
Woakes get two quick wickets and India are currently 36-2.

Shambolic batting by England. They were all out for 161 all out, and lost by 133 runs D/L.

Bring back Bopara bladewave

India were in a spot of bother early on, in tricky conditions, but from then on they bossed the match completely. England's problems against spin were exposed again as they slid to a 133 run defeat. Hales played nicely on his debut for 40 and Woakes had a decent match, but Jordan on the other hand was out for a second ball duck and bowled his 10 overs for 73, whilst Stokes bowled 7 overs for 54, and apart from Hales the top score in England's innings was 28 by Morgan. A comprehensive defeat.

A wayward Jordan has been replaced by Finn for the 3rd ODI at Trent Bridge.

England lost the toss and were put into bat first. England openers Alastair Cook and Alex Hales are off to a solid start and are 52 without loss in 11 overs

England 82/1 after 18 overs.

Indian quickie Mohammed Shami has gone off injuried. So Dhoni has now to find 7 over from his other players.

I am pleased to see Finn get an opportunity and really hope he seizes it.
He has been bowling sharply for Middlesex so lets hope he transfers that to this game when England bowl.

93/2 now, Cook gone.
