Even if it got a million signatures I would still bet on Parliament would not debate it as it probably would not be deemed as worthy of parliamentary time!! or probably it's "too sensitive an issue"

mind you the EDL nutcases have been pretty quiet over all this - had half - expected them to pop the their heads up

Sealed off a street in wigan and telling the residents to get out.

My local kebab shop just got raided by immigration services, and I've heard that other shops in the town centre have also been visited.
I hope it's just routine checks on paperwork and not anything sinister.

I'm sure you will find out soon enough

If it's just an Immigration raid I doubt that you have anything to worry about. If they have any suggestion that it's connected to the Manchester Bombing the place would be crawling with Armed Police.

^^ Probably just routine, but one guy was escorted to the van by police officers and driven away.

A few tweets regarding the Wigan incident

NHS Wigan: 'At all costs, please try to avoid Wigan Infirmary A&E due to current police incident in surrounding areas'

One local resident: Bomb Threat in Wigan and everyone turns up to watch with cans. All moaning amongst each other about the prices in Bargain Booze. Some town

Another tweet: Cordon being extended in Wigan. Bomb disposal has advised everyone to retreat another 80 metres

Fair comment? laugh Bit blunt, though...
