Well done you got 5/8 so it is still open to anyone else -it's not that difficult but then it is made easier if you cheat and use Google. Big Grin Go on have a go.

I wasn’t certain about number 4, was a wild guess, I was half thinking of going for Family Fortunes - Bob Monkhouse/Max Bygraves.

The first and last ones completely stumped on those two.

1) Bloody hell should have got that one.
4) Don’t remember ever watching it, so it’s no wonder I didn’t know it.
8) Don’t get me started on Tarbuck. Got an almost unhealthy dislike of that whopper going back years...

The adverts one might be better.

One thing I remember about the 80's the dawn of the US Space Shuttle and we saw at school, the first launch live at lunchtime of the very first Space Shuttle. It was a hell of a sight and the only time a shuttle has been seen was the models used in the James Bond film in 1981, Moonraker.

It seemed that there was a lot of sex around in that decade-not just in magazines and films but on television everywhere you looked you'd get some naked bird or some sort of hot looking babe in a television series, drama, sitcom or variety programme. For instance I first became aware of some very hot babes whilst watching Benny Hill-he knew what the audience wanted-scantily-clad girls being chased by a pervy old bloke and at times being felt up by him. Who didn't fall in love with Hill's Angels. Not forgetting the raunchy dance troupe, Hot Gossip on Kenny Everett's shows for Thames TV and then over on BBC1. Drama series like Hazell, Minder, The Professionals, Shoestring and even Bergerac had scenes sometimes featuring topless or scanty babes.

It seemed to be the norm even for sketch shows. Dave Allen the late Irish comedian once did a sketch(which I have a very short clip of) where he and another chap were in bathchairs as old men and challenged each other to a duel - but it was for two girls to strip off and see which one of them snuffed it first. Page 3 and magazine model Linzi Drew was one of the girls who stripped off and this was full nudity I might add. At the end of the very last programme of OTT(the adult late-night spin off of TISWAS) actress and big breasted babe Ellen Thomas(who was always threatening to go topless) stripped off her top whilst Chris Tarrant walked off talking to camera-man they were nice tits! Minder the comedy drama series regularly featured some stripper or sexy babe. One of which was Candy Davis, a gorgeous hot blonde who showed her tits, played a stripper girlfriend of Terry McCann's (Dennis Waterman) Some Page 3 girls got in on the act appearing on television like Samantha Fox, Linda Lusardi and Maria Whittaker(all three appeared on Blankety Blank) Gradually though, things changed and someone like Benny Hill began to be seen as either old hat OR sexist, the rise of the feminist put paid to Page 3 in the end. If you see a naked girl or topless nowadays it usually fleeting. Happy Days eh? Big Grin

Petrol Stations. Now I know that might sound boring but you must remember when they used to giveaway(well I say giveaway, you had to get extra petrol first of course) all sorts of things from models of Smurfs(National) to BUSY pens(I've yet to meet anyone who remembers those) and collectible coins mostly when the World Cup came along. Does anyone remember the Shell Great Britons cards you could get? I've found a few and scanned them a few years ago-look for them in the Childhood images thread shortly. I also remember getting TINTIN books and Asterix the Gaul from another petrol station, TOTAL. I think it was ESSO that did the coins.
