Looks like Frank Gore has played his last NFL game, at the age of 37. He became only the 3rd running back in history to reach 16,000 yards, on his final carry & will miss the Jets final game through injury. Walter Payton (16,726) & Emmitt Smith (18,355). He broke the record (240) for the most games for a running back the week before.
If it is over, it has been agreed that he will sign a ceremonial contract to end his career as a 49er, the team that drafted him & where he spent 10 years, with eight 1,000 yard seasons. The 5 times Pro Bowler must surely be a future Hall Of Famer.
