This Test Match will be the last time that the two sides will compete for the Wisden Trophy. In future they will be playing for the Richards-Botham Trophy.

thought that was a good days play, not easy to bat and good to see Pope and Butler really concentrating for once looks like its going to spin a lot on the last day that could play into our hands

Good start by West Indies, taking 4-18, before Broad & Bess added 76 for the 9th wicket. Woakes became Roach's 200th wicket, the 9th West Indies player to reach the milestone, & the 1st for 26 years since Ambrose.

Root missed a trick this morning by not starting with at least one off Broad & Anderson. I would have let Archer give Dowrich a working over with the short ball & Broad who looks England's best bowler.

Great declaration by Root, with weather expected to wash-out the 4th day. Six over & Broad left West Indies on 10-2, dismissing Campbell & nightwatchman Roach. He now has 499 Test Match wickets & bowling better than ever.

Tomorrows Met Office forecast for Old Trafford gives a 30% chance of a light shower around 12. 50% chance of light rain around 2pm & then a 40% chance of light rain from 3 through to 4pm. There's every chance this could improve or get worse nearer the time.
