Do we know the extent of Zverevs' injury?? looked horrific. Class from the man to make it back on to court to thank the fans too. No surprise either, but pure class from Rafa throughout even staying with Zverev until he left - presumably for scans - (the appearance of a moon boot is rarely a good sign) - My god how some other sportsmen could learn a lesson from Rafa.

Zveverev has torn several lateral ligaments in his right foot. Which doesn't sound nice, to be honest, and hopefully we will see him play again in US, but a lot depends on recovery time and I guess it means he is out of Wimbledon.

Rafa is one of those rare sporting icons who shows respect to his opponents and when something like that happens is always there to help. I respect him more after this. Just shows how humble he really is.
Not a great outcome! Even the U.S. open might be too soon for him judging by what I read on the net about such an injury. Not claiming expertise on my part by any stretch of the imagination

Nadal won pitifully easily and then said his foot problem remains a serious issue.

Gauff lost her doubles final too.

Nadal didn't make it, and looks to be winding his career down. This prompted Djokovic to make comments about how he might have to think about his own future.

But he made more noise for considering Kosovo's future instead.

2017 winner Jelena Ostapenko one of many seeds to fall early on here.

RE: French Open - Doddle - 02-06-2023 21:03

Jessica Pegula another high-profile seed to lose.

Cameron Norrie also battered in straight sets.

Beatriz Haddad Maia become the first Brazilian woman player to reach a Grand Slam Semi-Final since Maria Beuno in 1968.

BHM lost to Swiatek in her semi, whilst Muchova stunned Sabalenka to reach her 1st French Open final,

RE: French Open - Doddle - 10-06-2023 20:42

Muchova did well to make it to a decider, but Swiatek won through.

RE: French Open - Doddle - 11-06-2023 20:50

Djokovic beat Ruud in straight sets to establish a new Men's Grand Slam titles record.

Emma Raducanu has decided to give this a miss after all.
