RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 14-04-2015 23:10 ^ Yeah Jim got a rough deal particularly given how lean on cash flow it now appears he was working with at Dunfermline in the SPL. Ironically Dunfermline did better last year when we had effectively a youth team with average age of 19 and no pressure as everyone expected Rangers to run away with the league. Moffat has been a failure but given how much money he was supposed to be on he seemed to be undroppable to the detriment of Gosie Ugwu and Faissal El Bakhtaoui who were dropped instead. Seems ironic that Stuart McCall could come back to haunt Motherwell by beating them to take Rangers up RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 18-04-2015 17:11 Having lost to Montrose last week, East Stirling got stuffed 4-0 at home by Berwick, and now we're down to 8th That said, Elgin and East Fife also lost, so with 6 points left to play for, 4th place is still up for grabs by 6 teams Oh, and well done to Falkirk RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 18-04-2015 19:35 I've got a mate that supports Falkirk so I'm happy for him that he's going to have a big day out next month. Cup Finals to any side outwith the old firm are very special occasions so I'm happy for him. I enjoyed my day out last year. The highlight of the day was when my brother had parked the car and then said to me I don't understand why the neighbours are so nosey to which I responded, probably because you're sat in the drivers seat drinking a can of stella - Oops I'll make no comment on my own teams result other than I expected to get beat RE: Scottish Football - HannahsPet - 19-04-2015 14:03 (21-03-2015 19:28 )Sm© Wrote: RE: Scottish Football - HannahsPet - 19-04-2015 14:08 Blimey wonder what the odds on A Falkirk Cally thistle Final were at the start of comp RE: Scottish Football - Sm© - 19-04-2015 14:43 (19-04-2015 14:03 )HannahsPet Wrote:(21-03-2015 19:28 )Sm© Wrote: Just proves how hard it is to win a domestic treble, regardless of how shite other people think the Scottish League is. RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 19-04-2015 17:21 Also once again it's nice to know that a less glamorous club is going to win the Scottish Cup again. Celtic could say this and that about referee decisions but its no coincidence that yet again they fail to get past Inverness CT. Well done to Inverness CT this afternoon and who would have ever thought that a team of that size would ever make it all the way to the Scottish Cup Final. Inverness CT only formed in 1994 so it just goes to show that fairy tales can happen. I hope both sets of supporters enjoy their day out on the 30th May. It'll be interesting to see whether or not Hampden can be filled to capacity again. If it is then the same questions will be asked once again. Where are these supporters hiding that only seem to come in numbers for a Cup Final RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 19-04-2015 19:42 All credit to Inverness, what a Final it will be RE: Scottish Football - Snooks - 19-04-2015 19:49 Should be a very intriguing final. Will definitely watch . RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 20-04-2015 13:27 I was watching Sportscene last night and it really irks me how 2 faced the presenter and guests are when in the company of the Falkirk manager Peter Houston. Everybody who seen the the other Semi Final knows exactly that the only reason Falkirk made it into the final is because Hibs were just damn unlucky, they completely played Falkirk off the pitch from the word go. They created hundreds of chances. Falkirk create 1 and score yet according to the expert panel they were the deserved winners. Even Pat Nevin (Hibs supporter) also agreed. As for Peter Houston taking the huff over Alan Stubbs comments needs to grow up, man up and admit that his team were more than lucky. I'm glad we got shot of him as his total lack of honesty annoys me. Nonetheless I am happy for their supporters. Just had to get this rant off my chest |
