BBC Sport :
Quote:Hull City's proposed name change to Hull Tigers has been rejected by the Football Association Council.
The Council's decision - carried by a 63.5% vote of its members - followed the recommendation of the governing body's membership committee.
Fans' group City Till We Die said it was "delighted" with the decision.
Owner Assem Allam, 74, who has threatened to sell if he is not allowed to change the 110-year-old name, says he will appeal against the decision.

Think he should accept the decision and sell up. Why toss away over 100+ year of soccer history like it's rubbish? I'm glad for once the FA have shown a little common sense
and thrown this clown's application where it belongs - on the scrapheap!!

If Chris Houghton still want's a job then I am sure Luis Castro's job will be up for takers at Porto soon, 2 terrible managers in a row we have had now.. Castro needs to go too...

you should get AVB back
RE: Football Banter - Fernandez Esperenda - 10-04-2014 20:36
I did wan't AVB back but he decided he wanted to go to Zenit with Hulk, I would rather have Mourinho back though or even Vitor Pereira, this is the worst I have see us play for a long time tonight, but Jackson and Fernando are suspended and Helton is out injured for rest of the season

What a significant game today for bragging rights. Please make it possible for both City & Liverpool to lose and ease my pain

It seems like Chelsea are playing with 10 men, such a dull team that relies on individual brilliance.

Manchester city must be sweating when UEFA send out their letters over the next few days over the Fair Play thing. I know 5 live mentioned a few clubs who were likely to receive and possibly City would be one of them. I think in some respects the fir play issue has it's good and bad points but UEFA are certainly talking tough with what sanctions they could impose on clubs who were in breach.

What a laugh, Cardiff wanting to have the result of their game against Crystal Palace annulled because of supposed team sheet spying.
You would never guess that they lost that match, would you. Bet they couldn't care less if they had got the 3 points.
