I think there more than one of the friendlies last night that were likely to be investigated. FIFA red flagged it (whatever that means) but they said they wanted to protect "the integrity of the World Cup" I think several firms suspended betting anyway.
But with the World Cup not far off, it's going to be logistical nightmare I would have thought to protect betting on every match.
I know on radio 5 live last night that they mentioned one match in either 1990 or 1994 that affected Nigeria.

Why the laughter? I thought he was excellent. I also thought it was a sad indictment of our politicians that Joey Barton and Piers Morgan were the most interesting speakers on the programme. The UKIP rep spent most of the time trying to shout everyone else down and the Labour and Conservataive MPs were careful to say almost nothing for fear of being controversial or upsetting the middle ground.

Amazing. The Question Time panel included Joey Barton and Piers Morgan, yet the UKIP woman still managed to come across as the most unlikeable person there.

We need more people like Barton on tv airing their political views for a number of reasons;
1) Better than listening to old men using the same old phrases for the same old broken promisies
2) Gets a younger generation interested
3) He's up front and talks like your average guy
4) He's actually quite intelligent
Its a stereotype of macho males being stupid, I think I know more rappers and footballers who talk sense than I do politicians.
