RE: Top Gear - skully - 06-03-2017 12:53 I enjoyed it too, Matt, Chris and Rory make a good team, not perfect, but they have potential. It was fun. The celeb being on for most of the show is better than the last series' nonsense, but I agree with Circles, they don't need the section. I got fed up with old Top Gear, was disappointed with the last series (mainly due to Evans and Jordan), I think this is a great start. It felt a lot calmer, and Matt seemed more comfortable. I was glad they dumped the Rallycross rubbish, but would have preferred another reasonable car. Or even a choice of racer or reasonable. It was interesting that all three presenters were part of the interview, and that they spread it out to make the guest more connected to the show. So a good return RE: Top Gear - jimmyt73 - 06-03-2017 18:25 Great return show last night, shame that there was no return for Sabine but have to say going back to three presenters was a good call and although the camaradery is not yet at the same level as Clarkson and co had, the early signs look good, looking forward to next week. RE: Top Gear - cwpussylover - 06-03-2017 18:59 I found with the sound turned down and picture adjusted to black...I really enjoyed it..no more ginger twat, but zero chemistry...we need a whole new show...Topless Top Gear...convertibles driven by topless babes RE: Top Gear - wackawoo - 06-03-2017 22:39 Watched this tonight, same mistake. They are trying to make it like the Clerkson TG, that worked becasue of the presenters. Still don't like Le whatsit, the other one not so keen, the little fat bug eyed one was the better of the three. They should have left evens with it without his hands in chains, like him or not, left to his own devices this is his forte and he has a real pasioin for cars. Catering for America again, killed wheeler deelers. The Kasiztan bit was ok, shame they wreched those work horse cars though, why does this program think wrecking this is entertaining. RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 07-03-2017 07:27 It was unfortunate that the main film felt like the Ukraine one revisited, and I couldn't really grasp the point with the final "do the most miles" challenge, especially since Rory cheated to win. RE: Top Gear - lovebabes56 - 07-03-2017 07:50 let's hope next Sunday is more of the same, and without the ginger nut I think the signs are good RE: Top Gear - Charlemagne - 07-03-2017 08:27 Better without Evans. He's still full of himself but at least on the radio we don't have to see his grinning face. RE: Top Gear - The Silent Majority - 08-03-2017 23:34 Yeah, I liked it. Going back to the original format now they have some 'clear blue water' between the current lot and the Three Stooges worked, for me anyway. Bit disappointed there was no Sabine but the banter, while maybe not as effortless as Clarkson & co, didn't seem forced either. I think they definitely have something to go forward with now RE: Top Gear - Doddle - 13-03-2017 14:06 Enjoyed Extra Gear on Thursday night, and the proper show last night too |
