At the end of their song Message In A Bottle the last line is 'sending out an Esso blue' which was the name of a brand of petrol back then.

In the video for the Housemartins' Happy Hour you can see a young comedian called Phil Jupitus behind a newspaper.

Sting got his nickname when he turned up to play in a jazz band wearing a stripey yellow and black jumper.

He and Stuart Copeland were being interview by Jonathan King for his television show on stage when they started to play fight-in the ensuing melee Sting broke a rib. Stuart's brother Miles was once in the CIA.

God I was into that band (The Police) big time between 1978 and 1981...good memories of their music you’re bringing back there mate.Smile

"Watchmen" is highly regarded in the comics industry, even being described as the best comic ever published. It's been a critical and commercial success and the film adaptation has performed better than some of the Batman films and other films based on DC comics. The goatman quotes happen to be well known Watchmen lines, even if you aren't familiar with them.

What batman films did watchmen perform better than because watchmen had a worldwide gross of 185 million on a budget of 130 million Huh so if you include promotion and all the rest of the things that come out of the box office gross you usually have to double what the budget is so watchmen wasnt successful at all it probably made a loss... the lowest grossing batman film not including the 1966 one was batman and robin and that made 238 million so you might want to get your "facts" straight
