RE: Cricket Banter - Snooks - 21-06-2021 01:41 The West Indies batting will have to improve drastically from both the first test and their opening innings of this one to pull off a win. Their bowlers have given them a bit of a chance reducing South Africa to 174 all out in the 2nd innings. Windies are chasing 324 to win which would be a tall order anyway but given their batting so far in the series it looks even tougher. 15/0 at close so another 309 to win. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 21-06-2021 18:09 No play was possible on Monday in the WTC between India & New Zealand, with only 2 days remaining a positive result is looking less likely. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 21-06-2021 18:16 In the 2nd Test from St. Lucia between West Indies & South Africa, the Proteas are working their way through the Windies batting. Into the 2nd session on day 4 they require a further 200 runs with only 4 wickets remaining. Rabada & Maharaj have taken 3 wicket each. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 22-06-2021 20:22 ^^ South Africa completed a 158 run victory over the West Indies, & a 2-0 series win. Maharaj finished with 5-36 including a hat-trick, the first of his 3 dismissals was top-scorer Powell who made 51. Rabada was Named Man of the Match, & de Kock Player of the Series. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 22-06-2021 20:33 Day 5 of the WTC finished with India holding a 32 run lead, 2 wickets down in the 2nd dig, with Pujara & Kohli at the crease. Earlier the Kiwi's were all out for 249, with skipper Williamson batted for almost 5 hours, facing 177 balls, just short of 3 hours for 49 runs. Jamieson & Southee provided some lower order hitting. With a decent forecast for the final day, New Zealand slim chance of victory, but most likely a draw.
