I'm amazed anyone's bothered going to Wembley tonight. What a fuckin' shower they are. The most uncreative English team I can remember. So disappointingly poor. But no real shock.

I'm thinking that this campaign is going to be one of those campaigns where we are going to struggle in some games and totally dominate in others and the defence has to be better than they were. I got the feeling some players were suffering from their World Cup hangovers.
If there was a game where a solid performance was required that was it and we were way short of confidence and I would not be surprised if fans stay away from the first home qualifier on the evidence of that performance. It would be nice to think we could finish 1st or 2nd, but if we play that in the qualifiers we'd be lucky to even reach the play offs!! But honestly I would not be surprised if this side is put out in Switzerland on Monday, and we
get soundly beaten.

27,306, including 495 Gillingham saw Frank Nouble's 10th minute strike give Coventry City a 1-0 win in their 1st game back at the Ricoh Arena since a rent dispute forced them to play home games at Northampton

Good to see Gibraltar in their first qualifying campaign after getting shut out of football by Spain for so long. It doesn't matter they will probably continue to be bottom of the groups what matters is they have been allowed to play.
