Grand Slam fuckin' champion! Always believed that he could do it. I've stayed up despite having to be up at 7.30 tomorrow, I'm gonna be knackered tomorrow.

Hopefully this well vanquish his mental demons and be the final piece in his game.

I always thought that if Andy was going to win a Grand Slam it would be US or Australian as hard court is his favoured surface and he is away from the rediculous pressure of the British media when at Wimbledon.

So now to the Australian Open two time runner up third time lucky. COME ON ANDY !!

A belated congratulations to Andy Murray, well done, he did the whole of Scotland proud once more, oh how I wish he was allowed to do away with the Great Britain tag and instead play under the banner of Scotland instead Rolleyes

Is was an incredible game and I'm glad I stayed up and watched it! What an achievement to win his first slam against the defending champ Djokovic not only that but winning in the manner that he did by winning the first two sets, losing the next two to Djok and then winnng the fifth set by breaking Djoks serve twice!!!! The mental strength that Murry showed was incredible the poor bloke couldn't hardly walk at the end to collect his trophy and his 1.9million dollar winners cheque! Well done Andy and can't wait and see what happens in Australian openBig Grin

He should be much more relaxed now he has won a slam and hopefully in 2013 he will be challenging for the world number one spot as well as the odd winning slam or threeBig Grin

In addition to winning the US Open last night, Murray did something no-one male player in history has done he won an Olympic Gold medal in Tennis and then won the US Open in the same year.

Looking forward now to the ATP Tour Finals in November, would love to see Andy claim the final trophy of the season.
